(April 29 – May 06)— Wow! What a week! Limited cell service for almost a week but I have hiked the VirginiaTriple Crown (Dragon’s Teeth, McAfee Knob, & Tinker Cliffs)! I DID IT!
Wildflowers, budding trees, ALL kinds of beauty!
Scenes from Dragon’s Tooth (Tuesday), McAfee Knob, and Tinker Cliffs (Wednesday). The pictures do not even begin to show the beauty but it the best I can do. I look pretty rough in that last picture on top of the cliffs at Tinker as it was a 17.5 mile day in which I climbed both McAfee & Tinker. LOTS of elevation changes that day AND the wind began to blow pretty hard up there so I truly didn’t want to hang out there very long. It was an amazing day!

And, then, at the END of a 17.5 mile day….Tinker Cliffs. There were MANY cliffs but it was windy and I was tired so just one pic.
I have had two good restaurant meals and a great night sleep in a little hotel here in Daleville, Virginia. I am checking out and heading out to the trail again. I may not have cell service so keep those prayers going but try not to worry too much! I know God goes before me and with me always. I’ll be in touch as soon as I can, my dear friends!
