(May 17 – May 20)— I passed the 900 mile mark today (May 20)!!! WhooHoo!
I entered Shenandoah National Park a few days ago and promptly met a rattlesnake! STAY CALM!!!
I have also seen many colorful beautiful birds: Indigo Bunting, Scarlett Tanager, American Goldfinch, and a Pileated Woodpecker. Check them out online! The wildflowers continue to be glorious and abundant. Views, snacks, and new friends comprise my hiking hours. I even met a guy who graduated from Florida Southern College five years after us. The weather is warmer amd I am loving it MOST of the time.
