Time to Say Goodbye to My Company…

(March 29)— My toe has healed, I am rested, and I enjoyed a nice visit from my older brother (I hadn’t seen him in 1 1/2 yrs due to Covid). I feel refreshed and ready to head back out to the trail. My 15 year old grandson, Tristan, will be hiking with me until Friday. I am excited to make great memories with him..

Bryan dropped us off at the AT trailhead…Tristan and I said our goodbyes to Gavin & Aurora and headed north. We stopped for a snack and I enjoyed my ” cow bacon” as T called my beef jerky. LOL. We made our goal and set up camp. T was on this tent by 6 pm….he is whooped. Tomorrow is a big day we climb Roan Mtn. I am thrilled to have Tristan with me this week.
