My Knee Hurts (May 23 Update) Need a Break For A Week…

(May 21 – May 22)— Friday(May 22) was difficult. My left knees flared up badly and I hobbled (literally) into this campground where they felt sorry for me and kindly made room for me even though they were officially full. The gal who ran the camp store, Caroline, was so compassionate and gave me a bag of ice for my knee, let me cry on her shoulder, and gave me a free Pepsi.

Anyhow, at the moment I cannot hike. 😥 I am taking the week off to see if it will calm down. Please pray for the pain and swelling to subside with rest as well as for my hurting heart! On a happy note, my first college roommate, Marcia Myers , and her husband, Phil, drove 2 hours to pick me up and 2 hours back to their home so I will spend the next 4 days catching up on life! Andy will be here Wednesday for 4 days. Then, I will hopefully head back out on the trail with my brother, Daniel.
