(March 24)— Colin Hansen and I have had wonderful 3 1/2 days together! But, alas, the shoes did not make it. We had a limited amount of duct tape and it did its job for a couple of days. Amber Hansen and family had to pick Colin up 3 days early from the trail.
As I mentioned before, I obtained some very bad blisters on my muddy trek last weekend and one of my toes is looking pretty bad. So, I took them up on their offer to bring me on to my mountain house for a few days to tend to my feet. Colin took some great pictures so I asked him to share them at some point. My grandson, Tristan, will be here on Thursday night (along with Gavin and Aurora ) as Bryan was bringing him up to meet me. With this turn of events, I will spend a wonderful few days with my grandchildren and return to the trail with Tristan this weekend. I am learning that this adventure is just like life in that it is good to be flexible and roll with the blows. I know my toes will heal quickly as I am able to nurse them along for a few days. The rest will not hurt my knees either! Thank you for the ongoing prayers and I share my adventures with Tristan in the coming days!
